June 16th, 2021 - The Wheaton Academy lacrosse team won their fourth straight game to earn Sectional and Super-Sectional Championships and make their first appearance at State in program history. Yesterday, the Warriors shut out Lake Zurich in the first-ever lacrosse matchup of the schools and won 15-0 in the Super-Sectional Final. Both

John Carrington held the opposing team scoreless for the fourth time this season.
The Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 record by outscoring Kaneland, Neuqua Valley, and St. Francis 57-7 over those first three games. Following a close loss to Benet Academy, they rebounded with a 22-0 victory over IC Catholic Prep. Wheaton Academy closed out the regular season by winning seven of their last eight contests to put together a 12-3 season.
The postseason began with a forfeit win over Bartlett followed by taking down St. Charles in the Sectional Semifinals, behind Weisenborn's four goals and two assists. To win the school's first-ever lacrosse Sectional Title, Wheaton Academy beat Geneva for the second time this year, 11-8 before winning the Super-Sectional Championship with ease last night.
