Wheaton Academy pushed their record to 2-1 with a victory over the Huntley Red Raiders on Friday night.  Cool temperatures canceled the Junior Varsity game and moved the Varsity up to a 5:00 pm start for the second home game of the season. After an evenly matched first half, in which the score stood knotted at 1-1, the home Warriors, in their traditional all white uniforms, scored early in the third quarter to establish a lead they would not relinquish.  The final tally was 6-2, with three goals from Mikey Ancona (fr.), and a goal each from Marc Whitaker (sr.), Ian Venard (jr), and Henry Huth (sr.).  Senior goalie Tom Laduzinsky had an outstanding night in the cage with seven saves.

The Warrior lacrosse team will be back in white for two home games next week; Geneva comes calling on Tuesday night and Kaneland on Friday night, both games have a scheduled 7 pm varsity start.
