The Wheaton Academy football team moved to 4-2 on the season after suffering a 36-7 setback on Friday night. The Warriors opened the game strong on defense, forcing a Raider punt on their first drive and limiting the Glenbard South rushing attack. The Raiders got on the board first with a 1-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter. Wheaton Academy was then able to drive the length of the field before throwing an interception in the end zone. Glenbard South drove the length of the field and scored again, this time on a 4-yard run. The Raider tacked on three more scores in the quarter and took a 30-0 lead into halftime.

Sam Martinez. The 41-yard pass marked the biggest play of the game on offense for the Warriors.
The Warriors struggled to get the ball moving on offense, mustering 175 yards of total offense. Thrasher completed 12 of 21 passes for 157 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions.
Camden Meade carried the ball 13 times for 41 yards, and Martinez had 2 catches for 52 yards and 1 touchdown.
On defense,
Kyle Maranhas lead the effort with 16 total tackles.
John Acosta also had a strong game, accumulating 6 total tackles with 1 sack.
Next week, the Warriors travel to Immaculate Conception for a 1 PM kickoff on Satruday, October 11th.
