Wheaton Academy Loses to St. Edward

Wheaton Academy traveled to Elgin to play St. Edward on Friday night, ultimatly falling to the Green Wave 60-21.  It was 0-0 after the first quarter, and St. Edward got on the board with their first touchdown 4 minutes into the 2nd quarter.  The Warriors answered with a quick touchtown of their own, a long touchdown pass from David Thrasher to Marino Costello.  St Edward was able to score three more times before the half, taking a 29-0 lead into halftime.  

St. Edward wore down the Warriors in the second half with big plays and a powerful running game.  Wheaton Academy was able to score twice more, both on touchdown passes from Thrasher to Costello.

Thrasher finished the night completing 13 of 22 passes for 310 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Marino Costello caught three passes for 101 yards, all three catches for touchdowns.  

Next week Wheaton Academy travels to play Chicago Christian.  Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.
