Wheaton Academy's defense notched their third consecutive shutout, limiting Bishop Mac on their 100 year anniversary homecoming to only 106 yards of total offense. Offensively, senior QB
Belay Brummel took to the air for six passing TDs and commanded an offensive output that generated a total of 437 yards. Brummel would connect with five different receivers over the course of the evening for 279 yards, including 149 of these passing yards to senior WR
Breck Peacock who tallied seven receptions and two touchdowns.
The Warriors have outscored their first four opponents by a margin of 207 to 14 and remain undefeated on the season.
"We came into this game against a proud Bishop Mac football program not taking it for granted.", Warrior head coach
Jim Johanik commented. "Their pre-game ceremony featured the honoring of Bishop Mac's many alumni players from their several state championships. I could only think about the opportunity we might have in the future to be in contention for such a title, something unthinkable a few years ago. It's indicative of the excellent coaching and the positive culture that's been developed here at the Academy."
"This is a great place to play football that's not on the radar of a lot of people. We'd like to change that."
The Warriors (4-0) host Ridgewood (1-3) in a rare Thursday night matchup at 7:30pm.
