The track and field team concluded the season at the IHSA Sectional. For the second straight meet, the boys competed in very hot temperatures. The day started with the field events. Senior
Noah Herman earned all-sectional in the high jump by finishing in 3
rd place and setting an all-time personal best, clearing 5' 4". He also set a personal best in the long jump, jumping 18' 3".
For the running events, the 4x800 team comprised of Mateo Montoya, Joey Urban, Josh Strzalka, and
Caleb Demas earned all-sectional honors. Mateo set an all-time personal best in the 800 by running a split of 2:14. In the 3200m, junior
Sheldon Powell earned all-sectional by finishing in 4
th place and running a personal best time of 10:23. In the 1600, senior
Caleb Demas won the first heat, running a personal best time of 4:55.13.
