The Warriors traveled to Westmont for their first away track meet of the season on Saturday. Although there were wind gusts over 30 miles per hour, there were some good times put up in the competition.
On the girls side
Brooke O'Carroll (1600) and
Cora Gregersen (800) both finished in second place in their events. Victoria Powell finished first for Wheaton Academy in the 100 with a time of 13.54,
Quynh Sedlacek took 1st in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 56.94, and
Molly From finished second in the high jump with a height of 4'10''.
For the guys side,
Sheldon Powell had the double victory, this time in the 800 and the 1600, running 2:11 and 4:54 respectively, setting a personal best in the 800 and tying his 1600m personal best. The 4x100 relay team of
Christian Groves,
David Li, Micah Hermes and
Charis Simukai took 1
st place.
Carter Cumbey took 2
nd place in shot put, with a best throw of 9.5 meters.
Noah Herman won the high jump with a season best clearing of 5' 2".
