The Warriors traveled to Illiana Christian for a conference matchup Tuesday night. The game was a series of runs with constant momentum shifts throughout all three sets. Illiana took the first set 26-24, and the Warriors won the second 26-24 to take the game into the third and decisive third set. Wheaton Academy surged ahead it the third set with tough serves to take a 10-2 lead, but the Vikings worked their way back to eventually tie the game at 14 apiece. Both teams battled the remainder of the set as Illiana pushed to a 24-21 lead with game point. The Warriors serving was one target keeping the Vikings out of system, and we locked in defensively and offensively to win a hard fought 27-25 third set.
With the win the Warriors move to 2-0 in conference play.
