Brad Byrne announced today that Cody Nielsen has been named girls varsity volleyball head coach and will take over the program for the upcoming 2025 season. Cody has served as a girls' and boys' volleyball coach at Wheaton Academy since 2021. Prior to coming to Wheaton Academy, he coached at Providence School in Santa Barbara both girls' and boys' varsity volleyball programs for 3 seasons. Cody still plays volleyball today competitively in leagues and tournaments.
Cody graduated from Westmont College with a BS in Kinesiology and spent time as a strength and conditioning coach post-college. He now works as an Account Executive for Salesforce. He is married to Mackenzie, and they are expecting their first little girl in May of 2025.
Cody is thrilled to be stepping into leadership of the girls' volleyball program and looks forward to pouring into the growth of our student athletes.
