Warriors Beat St. Charles East, 3-1

The Wheaton Academy Warriors entered the 95 degree temperatures on Saturday to play a crosstown rival game against St. Charles East at home.  It was the fourth game in six days for the Warriors but they were up for the test.  Despite conceding the first goal, the Warriors Logan Finnegan finished a back post run to tie the game before halftime.  Then the Warriors came out with an extra level of energy after the break.  The Warriors hit the crossbar twice before taking the lead off a Jack Kilgallon finish from just in front of the goal.  The Warriors Luke Holwerda would add the finishing touch on the game with a goal in the final 5 minutes to take a 3-1 victory of St. Charles East.  The Warriors won four games this week and move to an overall record of 11-4 on the year.  The Warriors will host senior night on Tuesday before heading to the Go 4 The Goal Tournament in Burlington Iowa at the end of the week.
