Wheaton Academy Wins 4th Game by Beating Fenton

Wheaton Academy 53 - Fenton 32

Wheaton Academy traveled to Fenton on Friday night in a conference showdown that had playoff implications.  The Warriors needed a win in order to keep their playoff hope alive, and turned in a dominant offensive performance en route to a 53-32 win.  The win moves Wheaton Academy to 4-4 on the season and in need of a week 9 win against St. Edward to become playoff eligible.

The score was knotted at 7-7 in the first quarter, and Wheaton Academy poured it on in the 2nd quarter, scoring 3 touchdowns to take a 26-7 lead into halftime.

Fenton strung some long drive together in the second half in order to close the gap on the Warriors, but never got within two scores of the Warriors as they remained in control the entire second half.

Kent Harmon and Cristian Carstens both had strong games running the ball, each with long touchdown runs.  Ben Thorson found Noah Jones twice for touchdown passes.

On defense, Dimitrie Skakavac lead the way and played a solid game with double-digit tackles.

Next week Wheaton Academy travels to St. Edward.  Kickoff is at 7:15 PM.
