Boys Basketball loses on the road to Riverside Brookfield

The Wheaton Academy boys basketball team lost a conference road contest on Friday night to Riverside Brookfield 67-55. The game was tied in the second quarter before Riverside Brookfield would make a run to take a double digit lead into halftime. The Warriors gave up 38 first half points which proved too much to overcome. Junior, JD Gunn led all scorers with 24 points while Michael Callentine gave the Warriors a nice spark in the third quarter chipping in 6 points.

The Warriors will be in action on Tuesday, January 10 to take on Emmerich Manual High School in Indiana. Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m. (EST). The trip to Indiana is a part of the schools Winterim period. In addition, they will be in attendance as #20 Purdue hosts #13 Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon at Mackey Arena. They will also visit Taylor University, Indiana Wesleyan, and Indianapolis as a part of the trip.
