Boys Track Race at St. Francis

The boys track and field team kicked off the outdoor season at St. Francis on Tuesday, April 12^th.  Being an open meet and unlimited entries in each event allowed for many season best and personal bests to be set.  In the discus, both Graham Wall and Will Friedland set personal bests, throwing over 75 feet.  As the opening leg of the 4x800, Ryan Lotz set a personal best for 800m, running 2:17.  Sophomore Ryan Wittstock won the 1600m run in 5:05, outkicking the competition in the final 200m.  Almost every freshman set a high bar for the outdoor season in their individual events.  Next meet for the boys is Friday night at Naperville North and Saturday at Glenbard West.
