WA Football begins their postseason this Friday at Aurora Central Catholic! Kickoff is schedule for 7:00 p.m. In the past the two teams have been in the same division, but beginning this year ACC switched to the Metro Suburban Conference Red. 12 seeded Wheaton Academy (6-3) will look to take down No. 5 Aurora Central Catholic (8-1) like they did in the 2015 season finale (33-14).
Both schools have had some success against bigger teams this year. Wheaton Academy knocked off Class 8A neighbor West Chicago in Week 1. Aurora Central Catholic defeated Riverside-Brookfield, the No. 5 seed in Class 6A, and Glenbard South, seeded No. 11 in 5A.
The winner would play defending Class 4A champion Chicago Phillips, who have reached consecutive title games.
