West Chicago, IL
The atmosphere in the Warrior Dome last night was intense, and the rivalry game lived up to the hype. The game went back and forth, each team making multiple runs. The Warriors were up by 4 at the end of the first quarter, but down by 4 at the half. St. Francis extended their lead early in the second half, and the Warriors found themselves down 50-40 with four minutes left in the game. Rather than fold, the Warriors did not allow St. Francis to score another point, and brought the game back to 50-48 with the help of a couple of three point baskets made by
Anthony Polinski, and a double digit scoring night by
Tommy Blum. With time left on the clock for the Warriors to attempt one last shot,
Jameson Teuscher came off of a screen and put up a three point shot that hit off the back of the rim and bounced out. The Warriors lost 50-48.Â
The Warriors next game will be at St. Edward Central Catholic HS on Friday, December 11th to play at 7:30pm.Â
