Warriors lose 57-44 at IC Prep

Elmhurst IL

The Warriors traveled to IC Prep for their third conference game of the season. Coming off a strong road performance at St. Edwards last week, the Warriors were excited for tonights matchup against the talented IC team. In the first half the Warriors struggled to generate many points against the Knights defense, while IC shot well from the floor. Jameson Teuscher helped keep the warriors within reach hitting three 3-pointers, but Wheaton Academy trailed 41-14 at halftime.
But the second half was a different story. The Warriors cut the deficit in the third quarter by holding IC Prep to 5 points. Teuscher continued to shoot well, in addition to bench points from Luke Manske, who found his stride from the arc as well. JD Gunn added tough points from the paint. Wheaton Academy outscored IC Prep 30-16 in the second half, but the first half deficit proved to be too much. The Warriors fell 57-44.

Wheaton Academy (3-5; 1-2) will play in the Glenbard West Holiday Tournament December 21-23 and 26. The first game is Monday the 21st at 6:15 pm against Glenbard North.
