The Wheaton Academy Warrior football team lost its homecoming matchup vs. Glenbard South on Saturday, falling by a score of 55-14. The loss moved the Warriors to 4-2 overall with another tough matcup against Immaculate Conception looming.
The Warriors scored first in the game, capitalizing on a Glenbard South fumble to take a 6-0 lead on a
David Thrasher 1-yard touchdown run. Glenbard South used a powerful run game to respond, scoring early and often en route to a 41-6 halftime lead. The Raiders tacked on 2 more scores in the 3rd quarter to account for their final score of 55, while the Warriors were able to score on a 41-yard touchdown pass from Thrasher to
Steven Sellers to close out the scoring.
Thrasher finished the day completing 14 of 31 passes for 175 yards and 1 TD. Sellers caught 7 passes for 95 yards and 1 TD. The leading tackler for the Warriors was
