Warriors Fall in Penalty Shootout

The Warriors put in an excellent effort against Wheaton South, but were knocked out of the St. Charles tournament after a penalty shootout.  The Warriors entered the quaterfinal matchip against Wheaton South, hoping to improve on their 4-3 loss early in the season.  Grayson Harris opened the scoring in the 2rd minute of the game to give the Warriors the lead.  Wheaton South pulled back a goal 2 minutes before halftime.  The second half was evenly battled, with both teams having strong chances on goal.  In the end, the game finished at 1-1 and went immediately to a shootout.  Both goalkeepers made incredible saves, but Wheaton South was able to win the penalty shootout 1-0.  The Warriors play again on Tuesday against Batavia and finish their season on Thursday against Marmion.
