Your Wheaton Academy Warriors took on the 17-2 Riverside Brookfield Bulldogs at home this Friday night. This was the 3rd game of the week for the Warriors and it showed during their matchup against a very big and strong Bulldog team. Riverside boasted 3 players over 6'5" and really took advantage of their size on the offensive glass, but the Warriors never backed down. They showed great resilience fighting for every rebound and loose ball, getting some pop from
Sam Scharnowski and
Adam Marquardt off the bench.
While the final score read 78-44 in favor of the Bulldogs, that did not accurately reflect the fight that the Warriors displayed from the opening whistle until the final buzzer. Both
Luke Manske and
Jameson Teuscher came off the bench in the second half to knock down shots and really took advantage of their opportunites.
