Warriors Struggle Against Downers Grove North

For the second straight night, the Wheaton Academy Warriors saw action as they took on the Trojans from Downers Grove North.  The second game of the season did not go well for the Warriors as they fell 42-63. One of the few bright spots of the evening came from senior Bryce Sandberg who scored 18 points, including four 3-point field goals.  Evan Williams and Tommy Blum were consistent in their offensive output as each contributed 8 points.  The game got out of hand early and the Warriors were never able to get themselves back into it despite their hustle and scrappy play.  The loss is their first of the season and evens out their record to 1-1.  The sophomore squad also struggled in their contest against the Trojans, losing decisively.  However, the freshman squad, let by Jayston Williams, was able to earn a victory, winning by 9 points in a close game.  The team will break for the next two days to enjoy Thanksgiving with their families and come back to the WA field house Friday night.  Until then, God bless, and Happy Thanksgiving!
