Warrior Football Loses to Immaculate Conception

The Wheaton Academy football team lost its third game of the season, falling by a 20-10 score to Immaculate Conception.  Wheaton Academy opened the scoring on a Graham Cote 30-yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead.  IC responded on a 7-yard touchdown run from star sophomore tailback Jordan Rowell.  After Evan Williams blocked the extra point, it was 6-3 IC.  The Warriors struck again early in the second quarter on a 32-yard touchdown pass from David Thrasher to receiver Sam Martinez.  The Warriors' lead did not last long as IC responded with a touchdown drive capped by a 27-yards touchdown pass.  After another Evan Williams blocked extra point, the Knights took a 12-10 lead into halftime.

IC opened the second half with a long touchdown drive and scored on a 6-yard Rowell run.  The Warrior offense put some good plays together in the second half, but ultimately could not find the end zone, and came up short in a pivotal conference game, 20-10.
