The Warriors entered Tuesday's round of 16 in the Pepsi Showdown with the hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time in several years. The Warriors played with great energy and found themselves up 1-0 at halftime behind a
Sam Hardy strike to the lower right corner of the goal. After halftime it was
Casey Zimmerman who countered and outran the Mustangs before finishing the second of the Warriors 2 goals. The Warriors defended well from that point on and
Drew Sezonov worked for the shutout. The win moves the Warriors to the final 8 of the Pepsi and a game against defending IHSA 3A state champs, Warren. The Warriors move to 7-1 on the year.
