Soccer Beats Plainfield Central

The Warriors continued in the Pepsi Showdown with a win against Plainfield Central on Thursday night at home.  The Warriors, who have played 7 of 9 games on the road, were glad to be home.  The Warriors scored within the first 5 minutes when Ty Seager struck the ball into the far netting.  Plainfield Central responded with a volley that deflected into the Warriors net to keep the game tied at halftime.  The Warriors hit the post 3 times in the first half and it looked like they could break through in the 2nd half.  After a strong start by Plainfield Central, a rebond goal by Marshall West followed by a lefty finish off the post by Gareth Flynn put the Warriors in the win column with a 3-1 victory.  Spencer Graf recorded 5 saves in the net.  The Warriors move to 6-4 on the season.
