The Wheaton Academy Warriors improve to 9-3-1 (7-1 in the MSC) with a composed 3-0 conference win over Aurora Christian School Monday afternoon. The visiting Warriors jumped out to an early lead as
Caleb Mariotti found
Rian Bautista with a through ball for the opening goal in the first minute of play. Bautista would find the back of the net again in the 20th minute after a clever pass from
Andrew Ramirez. Ramirez would score the final goal of the night, and his first for the season, in the 76th minute as C. Mariotti tallied his second assist of the night.
ACS tested the Warrior back line throughout the evening, but
Declan Finnegan kept a clean sheet with 3 saves over 80 minutes.
The Warriors have a quick turn around with more MSC action Tuesday, April 13th against Riverside Brookfield. The team will celebrate and honor their seniors at 6pm and kickoff the match at 6:30pm.
