The Wheaton Academy Warriors advance to 4-1 in the MSC and 6-2-1 overall with a 3-0 win over Elmwood Park on a blustery Thursday road game.
Kyle Holwerda and
Troy Erickson finally broke down the Elmwood defense in the 30th minute with a clever counter attack that finished with Erickson dribbling around the keeper and slotting the ball into the net. The Warriors offense forced an own goal in the 68th minute to double their lead. Just three minutes later,
Haetham Nasr would assist
Robert Platt for the third and final goal of the evening.
The Warriors picked up their 4th shutout of the season lead by Finnegan, Pitts, Anaya, Barton, and Olsen.
The Warriors return to action this Saturday with a 12pm home game against Westmont.
