The Warriors of Wheaton Academy finish their PepsiCo Tournament with a record of 2-2 as they defeat Bradley Bourbonnais by a score of 3-1 on a blustery day at Inwood Soccer Complex in Joliet. Wheaton Academy struck twice in the first ten minutes as
Jack Liechty scored his first varsity soccer goal in the 6th minute of play followed by
Daniel Rychenkov scoring his first goal of the 2019 campaign.
Logan Finnegan tallied an assist on both opening goals before finding the net himself in the 37th minute, assisted by
Justin Riddle. Hoekstra recorded 3 saves in the match, including a momentum shifting PK stop just before half time. Wheaton Academy is now 6-3-1, and returns to conference play on Tuesday evening against St. Edwards at Performance Trust field.
