The Warriors of Wheaton Academy defeat Batavia 1-0 in their final round of the WarStang Invitational. A heavy wind impacted play throughout the afternoon, and neither team could find the back of the net in the first half. Daniel Rychenkov put the Warriors on the board ten minutes into the second half when Logan Finnegan passed him the ball at the top of the area. Andrew Hoekstra and the backline recorded their fourth shut out of the season.
Wheaton Academy is 11-4-3 (6-0 MSC) and will play No. 13 Community (West Chicago) High School at Performance Trust Field on Monday night at 6:30pm for their last regular season contest of the 2019 campaign.
