Warrior Soccer Wins Bracket at Go 4 the Goal

The Wheaton Academy Warriors traveled to Burlington, Iowa over the weekend to play in the Go 4 the Goal tournament.  The Warriors opened up the tournament with a 5-0 win over Rock Island.  The Warriors played with good pace and found the net in a variety of ways.  Daniel Rychenkov led the way with 2 goals in the match.  On Saturday morning the Warriors played a tough Evanston team and came out with a 1-0 victory off a goal from Seamus Kilgallon with just under 10 minutes to play in the match.  The win advanced the Warriors to the championship game against Normal West.  The Warriors gave up a first half goal and trailed 1-0 to Normal West.  But the second half provided a great comeback victory as Logan Finnegan and Seamus Kilgallon notched tallies for the team.  The Warriors went 3-0 on the trip and won the Heartland Lodge bracket of the tournament.  The team moves to 15-1 overall with three games this upcoming week.
