The Wheaton Academy Warriors grabbed a quality 3-1 home win on Thursday night in the consolation pool of the PepsiCo Showdown. The Warriors were tied with Joliet Central 1-1 at the half off a goal from
Luke Holwerda. The Warriors then took the lead when
Grayson Harris finished a slotted ball in the early stages of the second half.
Jack Kilgallon grabbed his first goal of the season to extend the Warriors lead with 12 minutes remaining.
JD Gunn posted 5 saves in the win. The Warriors are now 7-3 overall and will play Plainfield Central (8-1 overall) on Saturday in the final game of the PepsiCo Showdown.
