Warriors Come From Behind to Win

The Wheaton Academy boys soccer team traveled to Batavia on Tuesday afternoon to play the Bulldogs in a non-conference match.  The game was scoreless at the half but Batavia was the first to strike as they attacked down the right side and slotted a ball across the middle that was calmly finished.  It was just seven minutes later that Batavia found the net again off a shot just outside the box.  The Warriors kept battling as Luke Holwerda finished a ball back post off a a slotted ball by Grayson Harris.  Quinn Partain then tied the game with a penalty kick.  Then, with just under 30 seconds to play Seamus Kilgallon scored the game winner off of a set piece serve from Owen Hardy.  The goal struck the net with just 19 seconds to play as the Warriors finished the come from behind effort.  The Warriors move to 2-1 overall on the year and will face Wheaton Warrenville South on Thursday night at home at 6:30pm.
