Wheaton Academy is pleased to announce that
Steve Thonn will be leading the boy's basketball program as the Interim Head Coach for the 2017-2018 season. Coach Thonn has been a valuable member of the Wheaton community and the Wheaton Academy Athletic department over the past several years. Coach Thonn also serves our football program as the Offensive Coordinator and has been a varsity assistant for the basketball team for the last 2 years.
Coach Thonn brings a wealth of coaching experience to this position and is a tremendous fit for our program and community. He commented; "I am excited to work with this group that I've been around for the last 2 years and continue to improve the basketball program at Wheaton Academy."
In addition to his role as assistant Coach here the last 2 years he was also an assistant basketball Coach at Wheaton College for 4 years and a freshman coach at Glenbard West for 2 years. Coach Thonn has been a long-time coach in the Arena Football League as well and has a long history of success at all levels and across different sports. He is a winner and will bring great leadership and stability in the upcoming season as we look toward the future in boy's basketball.
