Night of Nets

Boys Soccer Wins on Night of Nets

Wheaton Academy won at home on Thursday evening by the score of 4-1.  It was a special evening as the team partnered with FCA to host "Night of Nets."  The evening was designed to raise awareness and funds for bed nets that help families avoid malaria in Africa.

The evening was filled with excitement as the Plainfield North opened the scoring in the first half.  Callum Burtelson finished a corner from Isaac Anthony to tie the score for the Warriors before halftime.  In the second half the Warriors would score three unanswered goals.  The goals came from Ethan Stoneman (Seamus Kilgallon), Isaac Anthony (Ethan Stoneman), and Seamus Kilgallon (Sam Epperley).  JD Gunn made three saves in the win.

The game was also the first ever live streamed game in the history of the program.  A special thanks to all involved in making that happen for the program.

The Warriors are now 8-1-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
