Sophomore Guard Jimmy Paganis scans the floor in Monday's loss to Streamwood.
The Wheaton Academy Warriors Boys Varsity basketball team fell in their season opener to Streamwood 49-52. Sophomore guard
Jimmy Paganis led all scorer with 20 points. The Warriors went into halftime with a 28-22 lead but a sluggish start to the 3rd quarter saw Streamwood take a 36-35 lead going into the 4th quarter. Wheaton Academy pulled to within one but timely 3 point shots and consistency from the free throw line led to a Sabre win.
The Warriors will be back on the court tomorrow night against Downers Grove North as they play their second game in the Wheaton Academy Thanksgiving Tournament. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m.
