Warriors fall to Bartlett in final game of tournament

West Chicago, IL

The Warriors final game of the Wheaton Academy Thanksgiving Tournament proved to be a challenge. The Bartlett Hawks entered the game undefeated in tournament play while Wheaton Academy entered 2-1. After a back and forth first half, the Warriors were on top of Bartlett 31-30. But a strong third quarter for the Hawks gave them a 45-41 lead over the Warriors. Down the stretch, Wheaton Academy put up a fight, but in the end Bartlett pulled away 66-57 handing Wheaton Academy its second loss on the young '15-'16 season. Wheaton Academy was efficient on the offensive end of the floor shooting 56%, including a strong performance from Anthony Polinski. Jameson Teuscher shot well from behind the arc, and Tommy Blum made his presence known in the post.

The Warriors finished 2-2 as host of the Thanksgiving Tournament, with victories over Steamwood and Brother Rice, and losses to Downers Grove North and Bartlett.

Conference play begins for the Warriors against Riverside Brookfield on Friday, December 4 at 7:30 pm at Wheaton Academy.
