Chargers Too Much for Warriors to Overcome

The Wheaton Academy Warriors faced off against Aurora Central Catholic Chargers in a home contest on Wednesday.  The Chargers entered the game with a 6-9 record and have scored at least 70 points in 2 of their last 4 games.  The Warriors stumbled their way through the first 4 posessions turning the ball over offensively and giving up two wide open shots, allowing the Chargers to jump to an early lead. The Warriors pulled things together quickly, ending the first half down by one (27-28).  In the second half the Warriors could not " buy a field goal ".  The Chargers put pressure on the Warriors by pushing the ball down the floor every possession and controlling the boards. The Warriors finished the game shooting less than 40% from the field and only scoring 9 points in each of the final two quarters, with the final score  resulting in a 58-45 loss.

Wheaton Academy will not have to wait long to get another crack at the action as they take on Riverside Brookfield at home this Friday.
