The Warriors took the number four seed in the Pepsi Showdown into Saturday's game against Downers Grove North and advanced to the second round by the score of 3-0. The Warriors possessed the ball well throughout the first half but were unable to put one in the net. Early in the second half
Parker Setran got forward and served a ball that
Ty Seager volleyed to the back of the net. Seager then added a second off of an assist by
Hunter Finnegan and then
Grant Rougas beat two and finished one with his left foot for the 3-0 victory. The Warriors defended well with
Michael Carver and
Andrew VanNispen playing quality minutes in the back.
The Warriors advance to the second round and will host on Tuesday night at 6:30pm against St. Viator.
