Wheaton Academy defeated Geneva on Saturday afternoon by the score of 3-0. The Warriors scored just 21 seconds into the game when
Ty Seager struck with his first of the season.
Jacob Kapitaniuk made the score 2-0 before halftime with a well placed penalty. After the half it was
Reid Culberson who scored off of an assist by
Grant Rougas.
Michael Carver led well in the back and helped WA earn the shutout. The Warriors start the season with a win and will return to their home field on Tuesday at 6:30pm against Riverside Brookfield. The game on Tuesday will be the first on the new turf field and the first in the new conference.
