Warriors Fall to Benet

Lisle, IL--Wheaton Academy got off to a slow start on Tuesday night at Benet Academy, succuming to the Redwings defensive pressure, giving up easy baskets, and being unable to find a way to respond to the Redwings offensive attack. The Warriors trailed 14-8 after the first quarter. Benet continued their attack and the Warriors looked to make a run of their own, but fell short, trailing 31-17 at the half.

Wheaton Academy made the proper adjustments and entered the court with a renewed resolve in the second half, battling hard against a very physical and disciplined Benet Academy team, but ultimately could not overcome the Redwings' lead, falling by 13 points, 63-48.

Gordon Behr led the team in scoring 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, while Josh Ruggles contributed 10 points and had 3 assists.

Tuesday's loss moves the Warriors to 16-8 on the season. The team has three regular season games remaining, beginning with North Lawndale Prep at home on Saturday at 7:30 PM.
