Warriors Can't Hold On Against Undefeated Bartlett

If you missed the last day of the Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament hosted by Wheaton Academy, then you missed the most exciting game of the year.  The Wheaton Academy Warriors slugged it out against the Bartlett Hawks in a game that would require overtime to decide.  Wheaton played their best both individually and as a team, but in the end, would lose a nail-biter 59-62.  The disappointing loss is their third strait and brings their record for the season to 1-3.  Bartlett would become the tournament champions, going undefeated throughout.  Scoring for the Warriors came from seven different players led by Evan Williams with 17 and Bryce Sandburg with 16.  Evan also received tournament MVP honors for the Warriors.  However, it was difficult to elevate any one person today as overall the game embodied precision teamwork, herculean effort, and the Warriors' trademark hustle where everything was left on the court.  The JV team fared much better with another dominating performance, blowing out the Hawks by 36 points and finishing the tournament 3-1.  The fresheman squad fell short again, losing a close game to the Hawks and finishing the tournament with an overall record of 1-3.  Overall the Warriors have a lot to be proud of and and should look to build off the many positive things demonstrated this Thanksgiving week.
