The Warriors notched their first tie of the year against a strong Batavia squad. Both teams entered the game with similar records as the Warriors were 9-2 and the Bulldogs were 8-2. The first half was uneventful for both teams but the second half produced four goals. The Bulldogs scored off a corner with 20 minutes left to play.
Marshall West then converted a PK with 10 minutes remaining after
Casey Zimmerman was brought down in the box. The Warriors'
Ty Seager then scored off of a set piece with just a few minutes to play. Batavia responded with a goal of their own with just 2 minutes to play. The eventful second half came to a close and the score ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Warriors are back in action after the homecoming weekend, when they play Monday at Wheaton North at 6:30pm.
