The Wildhawks JV hockey team, which includes WA Freshmen goalie Christian Kumpf (#32) and Freshmen forward Luke Lanham (#15), played their first game of the season at the North Star Cup Tournament at the Leafs Center in West Dundee, Sept 23-25.  They won both qualifying games, 6-3 against Fenwick and 5-1 against Warren.  The team then won the semi-final game 4-3 with a come from behind win againt Oak Park River Forest!  The championship game was hard fought, but the JV team lost 4-2 to Maine Township.  A great start to the season!  The regular season starts Friday September 30th.  Check out the Wildhawks website for game schedule, http://wildhawks.com .
