Ladies Finish Season Fall to King in Regional Finals The Lady Warriors were defeated by King in the regional finals Thursday night, 57-49 in overtime. Alexa Sharkey led the Warriors with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Daily Herald Recap St. Joseph Defeats WA Regionals Begin This Week The Lady Warriors fell to St. Joseph 58-39 in the final game of the regular season. Sydney Sharkey led all scorers with 13 points and Kristine Egebrecht added 12 points. The Warriors will begin regional play this upcoming week in the Chicago King Regional. Warriors Defeat Glenbard South Win 20th of the Year The Lady Warriors defeated Glenbard South 47-38 on Wednesday night. The Warriors were led by Sydney Sharkey with 14 points, Kristine Egebrecht with 12 points and Meghan Grant recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The win gave WA their 20th win of the year, and moved the girls to 20-5. Daily Herald Recap Ladies Win SCC Gold Conference Defeat ACC The Ladies improved to 8-0 in the SCC and clinched the conference title with a 58-40 victory over Aurora Central Catholic. Alexa Sharkey led the Warriors in scoring with 21 points. Warriors Defeat Spartans Gaffey Has Strong Performance off Bench Sydney Sharkey led all scorers with 13 points as the Lady Warriors defeated St. Francis in an SCC crossover game. Kate Gaffey came off the bench to score 10 points in the win.Daily Herald Article Girls Remain Perfect in Conference Defeat Marian Central Alexa Sharkey led all scorers as the Lady Warriors move to a perfect 7-0 standing in the SCC conference. Sharkey scored 20 points and had 8 steals. Sarah Drury recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Warriors Defeat Guerin Prep Win Back to Back Games The Lady Warriors are back on the winning track. After losing four straight, the Lady Warriors have put together solid outings against conference opponents Aurora Christian and Guerin Prep. Last night the Warriors defeated Guerin Prep 52-41 to move to 14-5 on the season, and 6-0 in the conference. Sydney Sharkey led all scorers with 18 points. The next game for the Ladies will be on Monday night - Senior Night and a night of Breast Cancer Awareness. Lady Warriors Take 2nd Place at Lisle Immacualte Conception Wins Physical Game The lady Warriors fell to Immaculate Conception on Wednesday evening 52-41, finishing second at the Lisle Tournament. Alexa and Sydney Sharkey were both named to the all tournament team. Overall, it was a great tournament for the ladies, who defeated Reed-Custer, Coal City, and Lisle to reach the Championship Game. The Warriors record stands at 12-2 heading into the new year. Alexa Sharkey hit the game winning basket with one second remaining. Sydney Sharkey led all scorers with 14 points while Meghan Grant chipped in 10 points. Alexa Sharkey led the way with 29 points, 10 rebounds, 8 steals and 7 assists. Sydney Sharkey added 8 points and 5 assists. The Lady Warriors move to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference. Girls Defeat Lisle High School Move to 4-1 on the Season The Lady Warriors defeated Lisle 50-28 in their home opener on Tuesday night.
