Head football coach Ben Wilson is in his third year at Wheaton Academy. Coach Wilson was chosen to bring back the football program in 2006 after a 17 year hiatus with the formation of a junior varsity squad before competing at the varsity level in 2007. Wilson is an accomplished football player himself, playing at nearby Maine South in High School and continuing on to become an all-conference player at Wheaton College. He is in his 8th coaching year overall, having coached at Bloomington South (Indiana), Wheaton College, Vernon Hills and Glenbard North. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Wilson teaches Physics and Physical Education at Wheaton Academy. Coach Wilson resides in Wheaton alongside his wife Leah and their two year old son, J.R.
