Head football coach Ben Wilson is in his fourth year at Wheaton Academy. Coach Wilson was chosen to bring back the football program in 2006 after a 17 year hiatus with the formation of a junior varsity squad before competing at the varsity level in 2007.

Wilson is an accomplished football player himself, playing at nearby Maine South High School and continuing on to become an all-conference player at Wheaton College. He is in his 9th coaching year overall, having coached at Bloomington South (Indiana), Wheaton College, Vernon Hills and Glenbard North.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Wilson teaches Physics at Wheaton Academy. Coach Wilson resides in Wheaton alongside his wife Leah, three year old son, J.R, and baby daughter Lainie, born in January 2009.
