Andrew Tink, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, attended Walnut Ridge Christian High School where he played basketball and was an all-state soccer player. At Wheaton College, he served as the student intramural director under Coach Ferguson. In 2006 Andrew graduated from Wheaton with a bachelor's degree in History, and since then has finished his certification in social sciences and his master's of arts in teaching.

Coach Tink has two brothers. Aaron, a graduate of Wheaton College will serve as his assistant this year. Jonathan is currently a golfer at Wheaton College. Andrew teaches Social Studies at Wheaton Academy in addition to serving as the varsity assistant coach. Coach Ferguson says of Tink, "Andrew is a very talented young coach who brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm. We are very excited to have him as a part of our program. Coach Tink resides in Wheaton with his wife Emily and daughter Esther.
