Andrew Tink comes to Wheaton Academy having grown up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Andrew attended Walnut Ridge Christian High School where he played basketball and was an all-state soccer player. At Wheaton College, he served as the student intramural director under Coach Ferguson. In 2006 Andrew graduated from Wheaton with a bachelor's degree in History, and since then has finished his certification in social sciences and his master's of arts in teaching.

Coach Tink has two brothers. His brother Aaron currently attends Wheaton College and his younger brother John will be a junior at Walnut Ridge this year. Andrew teaches Social Studies at Wheaton Academy in addition to serving as the varsity assistant coach. Coach Ferguson says of Tink, "Andrew is a very talented young coach who brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm. We are very excited to have him as a part of our program.
