Sport: Boys Volleyball, Girls Volleyball Position: Varsity Head Coach
Coach D.A. Nichols enters his third year coaching both the boys and girls volleyball programs at Wheaton Academy. Before coming to WA, he coached at Cross Lanes Christian School in West Virginia. While at CLCS, Nichols coached varsity volleyball for 7 years, and earned 5 WVCEA state titles. His 1999 and 2000 teams had a combined record of 54-4. Coach Nichols started the men's volleyball program at Lancaster Bible College, while also coaching the women's team for 3 years. In 2002, he was named NCCAA East Region Coach of the Year. Nichols took on the role of assistant athletic director, P.E. teacher, and volleyball coach in 2005 at Wheaton Academy, and has had two phenomenal years with the girls program. In 2005, the team was 34-4, PSL Champs, and Regional champions, while finishing 1st in two tournaments. In 2006, his team finished 31-4, while winning the regular season and tournament PSL championships as well. Coach Nichols currently serves as Athletic Director and P.E. teacher at Wheaton Christian Grammar School. He is married to his wife Rebekah, and they have one daughter.
