Coach Heidi Leffler brings considerable experience to Wheaton Academy in both coaching and playing the game of volleyball. Leffler attended Zion-Benton High School from 1980-1983, where she was a 3-year starting varsity setter, an all-conference player, and co-captain. She continued her volleyball career on the first ever highly nationally ranked (top 20) Crusader team at Wheaton College. At Wheaton, she was a defense specialist as well as a captain of the team.

Heidi has coached at West Aurora High School, beginning as a varsity assistant coach, then heading up the program from 1989-1992. During that time, Coach Leffler's teams were conference champions, regional champions, and three of her players went on to play division 1 volleyball with scholarships.

Leffler says of coaching at WA, "I am excited to be back coaching again. I love the game of volleyball! However, even more than the game itself, I look forward to working with my players. I feel honored to be a part of these young ladies' lives and hope to serve in any way I can to help them develop into all God intends for them."
