Position: Sophomore Coach
Kevin Bishop is no stranger to Warrior Basketball. Kevin was a key component on three highly successful WA teams. As a sophomore he played under Coach Ferguson on the sophomore level, and also played a key reserve role in leading the Warriors to the first regional title in school history. As a Junior and Senior he played on teams that had consecutive 20 win seasons and two PSL championships. Kevin went on to have a successful career at Wheaton College where he was a member of the team with fellow Wheaton Academy standouts Jon Nielson and Jim Fortosis, on nationally ranked Thunder squads. Coach Ferguson says of Kevin, "Kevin is an outstanding young coach who relates very well to high school students. He has a great passion for the game of basketball and integrates that with his love for the Lord." Coach Bishop has worked extensively in Warrior summer camps and is a highly competent coach and great Christian role model for his players. Kevin is currently finishing his Masters degree in Teaching at Aurora University.
