Warriors Race at Oakhurst Forest Preserve
Posted: 9/25/2011
The Warriors ran at the Aurora Central Invitational this weekend and found out what it means to race the very best IHSA Class 2 A teams in the state. All the races were "Wicked Fast" and our athletes ran to their very fastest times of the season. Coming off of the Peoria Notre Dame race at Detweiller Park last weekend the athletes knew what it was like to have to run fast in order to survive but having to race two consecutive weekends that fast was "really tough".
Success was found by all the athletes due in part to a short course (2.9 miles) but also because of the high level of competition. Seeing teams like ACC, St Francis, Marmion, Yorkville and Kaneland twice in two weeks raises the bar for the Warriors. We came to race and that is what they did. Full results can be found on the Kompusport.com website.
Warriors host the 5th Annual Warrior Classic on campus this weekend beginning at 9:00am. Come out and support the Warriors.
