Because a high school student's participation in athletics often helps foster a pattern of how to approach difficult tasks, major challenges, and intense pressure, athletics should be viewed as a crucible for developing Christian character. Athletic Successes at Wheaton Academy
The Warriors have had many successes, both at the conference level and at the state level. For some, athletic successes continue beyond their time in high school. The Class of 2010 had a record 12 athletes commit to play at the college level before the close of the school year. Below is a summary of the Warrior successes at the state level since 1980:
- 44 Regional Championships
- 16 Sectional Championships
- 4 Super-Sectional Championships
- 9 Top 4 Finishes in the State (Girls Cross Country - 2000, 2001, 2002, Boys Soccer - 2005, Girls Soccer - 2004, 2009, 2010, Boys Golf - 2008, 2009)
- 3 State Championships (Girls Soccer - 2004, 2009, Boys Golf - 2009)
