The girls' varsity volleyball opened their season last night against a tough Batavia team that brought a lot of experience back for the 2008 season.  The young Warriors came out and played scrappy and intense for two games, but fell short 16-25 and 22-25.  Both games they started slow and allowed Batavia to build a good sized lead, but fought hard each game to get back to within striking distance.  The Warriors were well balanced in their attack and defense led by Molly McCoy with 3 kills and 14 digs and Meghan Grant with 3 kills, 8 digs and 2 blocks.  The girl's are in action again this weekend at the Plainfield Tournament.
